Medium strength cleaner

if you're looking for a super strong cleaner this is not it, this did a good job at cleaning all the light dirt but for the heavy stains I had to use a different product form the site.

FAQs

What does Oceanus' Acidic Pool Tile Cleaner do?

Oceanus is a concentrated acid cleaner formulated to remove both organic and inorganic residues from pool tile and other acid-resistant surfaces. It is especially recommended for addressing stains and buildup from daily pool maintenance products, restoring the natural clarity and shine of low-absorbing surfaces.

What surfaces is Oceanus safe for?

Oceanus is suitable for pool tile, glazed surfaces, and other acid-resistant materials. It is NOT safe for marble, limestone, travertine, or other acid-sensitive natural stone — for those, use Galene's Gentle Pool Tile Cleaner instead.

How do I dilute Oceanus?

Oceanus is a concentrate. Dilute between 1:10 and 1:1 with water depending on surface type and residue level, or use it undiluted for stubborn dirt and heavy deposits.

How do I apply Oceanus?

Remove dust and debris with a broom or vacuum, protect surfaces not intended for treatment, and ensure grout and adhesive on new installations are fully cured. Wet the surface with water to prepare it. Apply the diluted solution evenly with a mop, sponge, spray bottle, or single-disc machine. Allow it to act for 10-15 minutes. Remove residues using a wet vacuum and rinse thoroughly with clean water until the surface is fully residue-free. Repeat if necessary.

What is the container size?

Oceanus is supplied in a 32 fl oz (950 mL) bottle. Because Oceanus is a concentrate diluted with water (up to 1:10), the actual usable solution volume is substantially larger.

How is Oceanus different from Hades' Heavy Duty Mineral Descaler?

Both are strong acid-based descalers, but Oceanus is specifically formulated for pool environments — addressing the mix of organic and inorganic residue (including daily-maintenance-product buildup) that accumulates on pool tile. Hades is the more general-purpose mineral descaler used for cement haze, efflorescence, limescale, and hard-water stains on a wider range of acid-resistant surfaces.

Will Oceanus damage my grout?

Oceanus is acid-based, so prolonged or repeated exposure can affect unsealed or colored grout. Limit dwell time on grout lines, rinse promptly, and consider resealing porous grout after descaling. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.

What safety precautions should I take when using Oceanus?

Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, ideally with local aspiration. Wear protective gloves, eye protection, and face protection; use a respirator if ventilation is limited. Never mix Oceanus with chlorine, bleach, ammonia, or other cleaning chemicals. Keep Oceanus away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames, and other ignition sources, and use non-sparking tools. Wash hands and face thoroughly after handling, and always review the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.

How do I clean my tools and store leftover product?

Clean all application tools with water immediately after use. Store Oceanus in its original sealed container in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, heat sources, open flames, sparks, and other ignition points.
