Expert advice

"In my practice, I often see how improperly selected cleaning products damage tiles: stains appear, the color fades, and the protective layer is destroyed. This is especially true for cement and natural tiles, which require delicate care.

It's important to understand that aggressive acids and abrasives provide a quick visual effect, but over time they destroy the material's structure. A professional approach involves a safe formula, a balanced pH, and surface protection after cleaning.

FAQs

What kinds of stains does Artemis remove?

Artemis targets organic and water-based stains, including food stains (coffee, wine, juice, sauces and similar), ink stains, and mold or algae growth. It is designed to remove these stains effectively without damaging the underlying material.

What surfaces is Artemis suitable for?

Artemis is formulated for cement tile, stone, and other non-porous surfaces, and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

How is Artemis different from Apollo's Oil Stain Remover?

Artemis is formulated for organic and water-based stains — coffee, wine, food, ink, mold, and algae. Apollo is formulated for oil-based stains — cooking oil, grease, and cosmetic oils. Choosing the right product for the stain type makes a significant difference in results.

How do I apply Artemis' Food Stain Remover?

Clean the surface first to remove dust and debris, and test on a small, hidden area to confirm compatibility. Avoid applying on heated surfaces, and remove any wax or protective layers for best results. Do not mix Artemis with other chemicals. For absorbent surfaces, moisten the surface slightly with water first, then apply Artemis directly to the stain, ensuring full coverage. Gently scrub with a soft brush or sponge. Once the stain dissolves, blot and rinse with water to remove all residues. Repeat if needed. Allow the surface to dry completely before use.

How long should I let Artemis sit on a stain?

Dwell time depends on the type of stain. For food stains such as coffee and wine, allow 30 minutes to 2 hours. For ink stains, allow 30 minutes to 3 hours. For mold or algae, allow 15 minutes to 1 hour. Persistent stains may need multiple applications.

What is the container size?

Artemis is supplied in a 32 fl oz (950 mL) bottle. The amount needed per stain depends on the size of the stain — apply enough to completely cover the affected area.

Can I mix Artemis with other cleaning products?

No. The Product Data Sheet explicitly directs you to avoid mixing Artemis with other chemicals.

Always use it on its own.

Does Artemis provide long-term stain protection?

No. Artemis is designed to remove existing organic and water-based stains, not to prevent future staining. For ongoing protection, follow up with appropriate sealers (Poseidon's Tile Primer + Zeus' Tile Sealer on cement tile, Demeter's Terracotta Primer + Zeus' Tile Sealer on terracotta) and clean spills promptly.

What safety precautions should I take when using Artemis?

Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, ideally with local aspiration. Wear protective gloves, eye protection, and face protection; use a respirator if ventilation is limited. Keep Artemis away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames, and other ignition sources, and use non-sparking tools. Wash hands and face thoroughly after handling, and always review the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.

How do I clean my tools and store leftover product?

Rinse all application tools with water immediately after use. Store Artemis in its original sealed container in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, heat sources, open flames, sparks, and other ignition points.
